Underway

Here we go...

Of course I forgot to change the counter on the right...so I'll have to give countdown updates periodically. Today, though, while I have cell
phone reception, I'll be sending in photos of the day's events. Not the best quality, but better than nothing.

So far its a lot of sitting around. Should be loading up soon.

  1. I stumbled across your blog today. I like it. We share much of your same thoughts about going. You are right, the military does not care about feelings or family. We had to do the same thing with my husband in January. I dropped him off on January 2nd and he left Camp Shelby on January 13th. No goodbyes, but from his point of view. That was the easiest thing to do. One guy whose kids were there, they were crying and saying "Daddy don't go" It literrally broke every guys heart on the bus, so this may be for the best. My husband was gone during my entire pregnancy in 2003 with our second and came home when he was 4 months old. He left for IRaq when he was 11 months old. So we feel your pain!! Take care
